A melancholy movie about innocence, perdition, friendship and unusually tempting sins. Mary and Rachel, who is raised in a Laestadian environment, wants to explore life outside their religious home. They end up in Helsinki.

In the environment where Mary and Rachel lives in, alcohol, make up, watch tv, listen to rock-music and having sex before marriage is considered as the devil’s work. Mary have a huge explores the narrow, and this concerns Rachel when Mary starts to explore with alcohol and boys. Rachel is against what happens in town, when everything is new and frightening, but at the end she can’t resist.

This Movie is very realistic, like happenings that often may happen in our environment today. The way the camera is used, is realistic, but also the plot. Films like this and other that’s about the environment I’m not usually watching, so this was a experience for me, just to see something new. This movie was more exciting than other movie’s that deals with the environment.

I liked this movie, because it was exciting, had a good history and actors. I still want to say that this is a typical movie I don’t need to watch again. The history and plot will be reminded, and don’t have to be seen more than once. I remember especially one scene, where Mary and Rachel visited some boys they met in Helsinki. Rachel and one of these boys she has found interesting, caress each other in a very strange way, since Rachel don’t want to feel guilty.
I think the message with this film says that you should do what we want to do and follow our hearts, although our family and environment around you believe that it will send you straight to hell.
